The most heart felt, amusing and craftiest ways to make your special wedding ‘A Reflection of You’ are through the little details. They can be simple, inexpensive niceties that illustrate your life, love and gratitude so eloquently.
These little details can also be a compromise to those larger elements that were unfortunately not possible due to budget or logistics. For example, Chad and I wanted nothing more than our precious little girls present on our special day. Two energetic, kibble obsessed German Shorthaired Pointers at a wedding ceremony/reception draw a parallel to the infamous bull in a china shop scenario. Though Daisy and Pearl are forever in our hearts, we made sure they were present during the reception with a photo of the Pointer Sisters acting as a number for each table.

Following several wedding blogs loaded with eye candy, I often find myself on creative overload. One way I organize these inspirational ideas is through Pinterest. For those not familiar with this website, think of it as “a virtual pinboard- a place where you can create collections of things you love and ‘follow’ collections created by people with great taste”. Once an account is created and the “Pin It” bookmark is installed, the user can browse websites “pinning” (bookmarking images and sources) onto boards they have created and organized. Users can also follow others’ (like me) pins and inspiration boards. If a user likes another’s pin there are repin, like and comment options. It is a valuable resource for those in midst wedding planning or designers and design enthusiasts alike.
I created the following details inspiration board from images I have collected over the past few months via Pinterest.
Photo Credits (beginning at top left): ‘Here Comes the Bride’; Lego Maniac; Sweet Ride; Guest Book Photo Booth; Succulents and Wine Welcome; Paper Boats; Brides vs. Grooms; 9-5= Table 4; For the Scrabble Lovers; Tied with a Bow; Tree House; Streamers; Floating Vases; Party Sculpture.
I would like to open up the final chapter of ‘A Reflection of You’ to my readers. Is there a specific element and/or topic the past chapters did not give mention to or mentioned but not in enough detail? If so, please leave a comment below and I will write the final chapter based on your suggestions.
