A Reflection of You | Chapter VI | The Dress and Beyond

Sweet Love week certainly helped to provide some inspiration in writing the next chapter of ‘A Reflection of You’ on fashion. Most little girls dream of the day they get to wear a wedding gown. As their wedding day nears, finding that dream gown is top on their to do list. The challenge is not only finding the gown but making sure the rest of the wedding party’s attire compliments each other. A formal ornate satin ball gown may look out of place at the altar, next to simple cotton sundresses and seersucker suits. The attire should also play off the overall theme of the wedding. For example, if you are planning a country jubilee, why not walk down the aisle in cowboy/girl boots? A few other factors should also be up for consideration; comfort, if the articles can be worn again and of course budget. Several brides are looking to consignment bridal boutiques in hopes of finding the designer dress they have been pining over in the bridal magazine for less. Bridesmaids everywhere are thanking stores like JCrew and ModCloth for designing dresses they can wear again to a backyard BBQ with beads and flops or an evening out on the town with pearls and heels. Here are some fashion combinations I put together in hopes they provide inspiration.
