I can’t think of a more delightful way to get to know someone better, than over a cup of tea.
My love for tea rooted at a young age; enjoying afternoon tea with my grandmother, mother and aunts. When dreaming up staging for the daisies & pearls bio photo, a tea party for Daisy, Pearl and I, seemed too perfect. Thanks to the talents of Meredith Perdue with & Unlimited Photography, I hope our tea party for three will help you to get to know us better.
The cozy backyard picnic.
The table set for three.
Flowers crafted of tissue.
A few of our favorite treats.
Tea sipped pinkies up, from vintage teacups and beverage napkins from EmersonMade.
Once the party was set up, the Girls and I changed into our party attire. Pearl went with her beloved strand of pearls. Daisy sported her new red fascinator and poppy choker. I always feel pretty in pink.
After the tea steeped for just the right amount of time, we enjoyed one another’s company.
It takes Pearl a bit to come out of her shell but when she does she is a gem. We welcomed Pearl into our family three years ago after seeing her adorable little face at the Animal Refuge League. Pearl’s sweet, timid ways soon captured our hearts but don’t let her gentle façade fool you. She is a crazy woman at the dog park; running and leaping about as if she were a rare pointer-gazelle hybrid. Pearl’s favorite time of day is our morning run. She loves Cheerios and dancing.
We often tell people Daisy Mae requires a middle name because she is just that naughty. From the moment we brought our eight week bundle of joy home, six years ago, life hasn’t been the same. There is never a dull moment in life with Daisy but we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Daisy’s best friend is the ball as her daycare report card indicates. Her favorite times of day are breakfast and dinner. Daisy loves the camera and will do anything for a treat. Her most famous trick is “leave it” which she is showing off in the photo above.
The perfect afternoon of yummy delights, good company and endless smiles.
